MixShuffle ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Stellar Sound, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our web-based audio comparison tool at mixshuffle.com.

Information You Provide

Support inquiries: When you contact us through the Support form, we receive your email address, subject, and message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Email signup: If you sign up for launch notifications, we collect your email address to notify you when MixShuffle 2.0 launches. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Automatically Collected Information

Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., feature usage, file types uploaded, time spent on page) for general analytics and product improvement. This does not include personally identifiable information. We do not store or review uploaded audio files or cloud storage contents. Analytics may use localStorage for session persistence.

2. Audio Files and Cloud Storage

Local uploads: Audio files you upload directly from your device are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or stored anywhere.

Google Drive and Dropbox: When you import audio from Google Drive or Dropbox, we use OAuth to obtain temporary access to stream your files. Files are streamed through our secure proxy to your browser for playback. We do not store, log, or retain your audio files or cloud storage contents. Access is used only for the duration of your session.

3. Data Retention

Support form submissions and email signups are retained only as long as needed to fulfill the purpose (e.g., responding to support requests or sending launch notifications).
Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's policies.
Blind test results, notes, and audio files exist only in your browser memory and are never sent to our servers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We may use cookies and localStorage for analytics and to remember your preferences (e.g., gain match settings). You can clear these in your browser settings at any time.

5. Third-Party Services

We use:

PostHog for analytics
Netlify for hosting and form handling
Google and Dropbox for cloud file import (OAuth only)
